I obtained this gun in a trade with an old friend...I'm pretty sure I got the better end of the deal...The letter confirmed it was a single gun order from a well known at the time firm of gunmakers...It was possibly intended for pocket carry by one of the owners...The stag grips that came with it are unique...It carries the date code from an early return to the factory, but the record of that over 100 year old return is lost to history...
