#138 - S&W .357 Magnum

 This is a postwar example of what was originally introduced as the Registered Magnum, and in the late 50's would me renamed as the Model 27...At the time of shipment for this gun, it was simply called the .357 Magnum Revolver...This one has a 3 1/2" barrel and its original numbered walnut Magna grips...At some point between initial shipment and the time I acquired it, the gun was refinished from its original blued to its current nickel plating...This was a professional refinish done outside the factory...
